Arise (“the App”) is provided by Arise Labs (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the App handles your information. Short version: the App runs entirely on your device, requires no account, and does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information.
Your alarms, wake-up routine, mission settings, wake-up history, streaks, and preferences are stored locally on your device only. This data is never sent to us or to any server. Deleting the App removes it.
If you choose a photo-based wake-up mission, the App uses your camera to photograph the target object. The image is analyzed entirely on your device (using on-device image recognition) and is never uploaded or shared. Images are deleted immediately after they are checked, unless you turn on the optional on-device wake-up photo diary (“Memories”), in which case the winning photo is stored only on your device and can be deleted by you at any time. Camera access is optional — if you decline it, the App falls back to a motion-based mission.
Motion-based missions read your device’s accelerometer to detect shaking. These readings are used on-device in the moment and are not stored or transmitted.
The App schedules local alarms and wake-up reminders on your device. There is no push server and no message is sent off your device.
Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android) and managed with the help of RevenueCat, Inc. To validate purchases and manage your subscription, RevenueCat assigns a random, anonymous app-user identifier and processes purchase and transaction data along with device identifiers. We never receive your name, email address, or payment details — payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. The App contains no third-party analytics, no advertising, and no tracking technologies.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not collect personal information, there is nothing on our side to access or delete. All data created by the App lives on your device and is fully under your control — deleting the App erases it.
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.
